The history
In 1977 Giorgio Gaiani founded GaianiSAT, Italian agency of the British brand David Brown, active in the market of industrial automation, and specifically in gearboxes, power control and power transmission.
Determined and driven by his passion for design, Giorgio Gaiani designs and produces a range of new products.
Since the early 1990s, GaianiSAT extends its field of use in the marine environment, because the David Brown’s divisions SADI, manufactures cabestans. In these years, our company takes up the cooperation with Franco Cornelli, who has shared and followed the same path and project since then.
It’s the beginning of a new business, that from 1995 to 2007 leads the company to find a more and more significant position in the marine industry, representing, in addition to David Brown Sadi, other Companies as Fentek, Straistall, Marimatech, Richard Marine, GWZ, Orga BV.
2012 is the beginning of a close collaboration with Trelleborg AB, a Swedish company active in polymer engineering, which, after acquiring many of the companies mentioned above, entrusts GaianiSAT with the exclusive Italian Market for Trelleborg Marine Systems products.
Since 2016 GaianiSAT is managed by his son Diego, an engineer, who has warmly accepted the father’s proposal to take over the company. With the same father’s determination and a willingness of expanding the company to other new markets: Smart City and Electric Mobility.
With over 25 years of experience in previous realities and innovative fields, Diego has been founder and General Manager at MeteRSit, a company belonging to the SIT Group, and Vice President and Senior Partner in some consulting companies active in Strategy and Business Management.
Today, Diego is responsible for the company’s development with an eye to new challenges, with the same passion inherited from his father.
